BEA was born in February of 2016 to help connect Vermont companies with quality and reliable workforce especially from among the New American population groups. Before BEA’s inception, there was a two-fold problem. While Vermont’s newer communities saw their lack of English-language proficiency and cultural backgrounds as retarding factors to succeed in a workplace, many of the Vermont businesses were reluctant to hire New Americans as they did not know what to expect from them. BEA was born to provide a support system to connect the two sides. The business model has worked out very well. BEA now sends approximately 100 people to work on any given day to about a dozen companies in four different counties of Vermont.
